Our goal is to provide a warm welcome to the many guests that visit Ohio’s Amish Country every year, as well as providing an “inside look” into the shopping destinations, events, restaurants, and attractions that make up the world’s largest Amish settlement.

Ohio’s Amish Country, is located in northeast Ohio, and consists of Holmes, southern Wayne, western Tuscarawas, and southern Stark Counties. Berlin, Walnut Creek, Charm, Kidron, Sugarcreek, Winesburg, Mt. Hope, and Wilmot, are some of the charming villages where you will find a horse and buggy sharing the road with you, as you travel through the most beautiful part of Ohio.
The Amish and Mennonite people are intriguing to many, I encourage you to visit The Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center, located in Berlin, Ohio. Here you will learn the origins of the Amish and Mennonites, how they came to settle in this area, and also find the answer to the question, ”What is the difference between Amish, and Mennonite?” Viewing the 265′ cyclorama “Behalt!”, painted by Heinz Gaugel, will provide you with an outstanding visual history.

Visiting Yoder’s Amish Home, provides guests an authentic Amish experience. Here you can tour 2 Amish homes, enjoy a barn full of animals, enjoy freshly baked goods, and take a ride in an Amish buggy that is being driven by friendly and courteous members of the Amish church.
Ohio’s Amish Country is also famous for the locally produced foods, delicious and wholesome artisan cheeses can be found at Heini’s Cheese Chalet, as well as Heini’s Gourmet Market. Handcrafted chocolates, and other sweet delicacies can be experienced at The Coblentz Chocolate Company. Restaurants featuring Amish cooking, such as The Amish Door, in Wilmot, and Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen, in Mt. Hope will have you exploring new and previously unused notches in your belt.
